Hope this helps! Hey Ryan whats that app you used in xbmc to control it? Perfect thanks that helped I watched a couple of you otheres also but how do i change the wallpaper for each tab I like yours but mine just has the guy floating in space and i cant find where to change it at.
I should do a write up on this. Essentially find some images you want on google for the different headers. Push them on your box depending on what hardware you use. From there you can use tv show or movie fan arts or select this pics you pulled from the web. Aaah yes. The other tutorials had me rather confused about the simplicity of hypersynch cloud and other aspects of this seemingly endless set-up.
Seriously, thank you! First off thanks for this guide. I have downloaded HyperSpin 1. You should be running HyperSpin and it will launch rocket launcher. Also, I do not know if the space in the x ml on your error is a cut and paste issue, but there should not be a space. Ok got through my first issue. Now it appears when I try and run a game from rocketlauncher it just loads then the game does not open it takes me back to rocket launcher.
Nice job. Hi Andy, This guide should help you out. It takes more than just the startup folder to get there. Good Luck. I dont have this dir within HyperLaunch have all other dir just not this one am i missing something pls. Where did you get v1. When I follow your link it is for RocketlauncherUI and that gets updated to 1. It visually matches your instructions more closely than tracking down a copy of HyperLaunchHQ 1.
HyperLaunch was what Rocket Launcher was previously named. You want the latest version of Rocket Launcher. The latest version of Rocketlauncher does not seem to have the file hyperLaunchHQ. I downloaded it twice now.. Hey even a old version of rocketlauncher that has this file? If I configure as a single wheel then games do show and I can run them.
If I configure as multi-wheel then I get a blank list. When I select a system from the wheel it just keeps going back to the system wheel. No game wheel displays…what am I doing wrong. Great guide. Like others in these comments I was daunted by HyperSpin despite being very familiar with other front-ends. Thank you — this guide helped me to get Hyperspin up and running on my arcade cabinet in a couple of hours, which I consider quite an achievement with the added fuss of the ArcadeVGA card etc.
Hi great Tutorial followed it to a Tee! Use mame The gui versions will not work on how this guide is setup. Hi … great site, thanks for the help. Is there any way you could post the files here somewhere? I had done that and looked in several places. Could only find an old version of it. It also just so happened that when I was searching, the Hyperspin site was also down because they were changing servers.
Aside from that link, where else did you happen to find version 4 of the Hypertools download? Hello Thanks for this, I have got as far as testing a mame game in hyper spin, just before he artwork post.
Any help please Ben. Hi Ryan, excellent guide and very useful. However, I can not launch any from Hyperspin itself. Any help greatly appreciated…. Just as I thought it was all too hard… I found this gem of a tutorial!!! Thankyou for taking the time to write it, I managed to get mame running smooth first time. Im having trouble initializing the games. More specifically when I try to select a system, it will return to the system selection. When I change to single wheel, I can see the games, but they wont run.
Im having a bit of trouble running HyperSpin. When I open it, I can try selecting a system, but It will stay on the system select wheel. Hi Ryan, I have yet to install, but just wanted to ask a question before hand please, my system has a 2tb internal hard drive and I have a 2tb external USB drive, can I put the rom files in the external drive with a pathway or does everything have to be on the same hard drive, and do you have to disable the anti-virus before installing hyper spin.
Thank you Sue. Have a an artwork theme in mind or need options? Chat or [email protected] Dismiss. Here is a video walk through of HyperSpin. Ryan on February 4, at pm. Ryan on April 2, at pm. Glad you got it going. Mike on March 31, at am. Ability to change configuration after scanning Message now pops up with warning about unsaved changes. Fixed race condition with the HyperSpin Wheel dropdown not updating when loading a configuration file.

Existing user? Don's HyperSpin Tools 4. Xenophobe — Presentation is top-notch, love this era of Atari cartoonish arcade graphics. Use of split-screen is excellent. Gameplay and controls are not fantastic, however.
Arabian Fight — Huge sprites and impressive graphical effects help to make up for uninspired gameplay. Arabian Magic — Another okay game that barely passes muster. Battle Circuit — Pure Capcom absurdity, play this one to see how crazy things get. They are probably the reason why many control panels have 4 action buttons for players 3 and 4.
Dungeons and Dragons Tower of Doom — See above. Exvania — Bomberman in a dungeon. Football Champ — Soccer game with decent graphics and gameplay. Joe — Graphics and style are cool, you can blow up almost everything in this game and fight over who gets to be Snake Eyes. Gauntlet — I remember the feeling of seeing this beast of a cabinet when it first hit the arcade.
It had glorious graphics, amazing sound, an almost unreal number of enemies and, most impressive of all, hilarious, good quality, voice samples. Not having to spend actual money to play kind of saps the intensity out of the gameplay, though.
Gauntlet II — The sequel expanded and improved on the formula in many ways, but the central pay-for-health gameplay issues persist. High Impact — Decent football game with Midway humor and early digitized graphics. Hook — This is a decent brawler. Karate Blazers — Really fun ridiculous brawler. As for the bootleg, it's the same as the original with, as far as I could tell, additional new selectable characters. Knights of Valour is worth your time.
It's amazing! If someone would translate this game to English, then it would be perfect. Knights of Valour Super Heroes - This seems to be nearly identical to the former game with different characters, again Chinese only, at least with all the roms that I tried. Knights of Valour 2 - The sequel is more of the same eye-popping awesomeness, also with the regional flaw i. Metamorphic Force — Okay brawler with a werewolf-style aesthetic and gameplay gimmick.
NBA Jam — All-time classic, this has the best announcer. Ninja Baseball Bat Man — The king of zany 4 player brawlers with a cute cartoony aesthetic. Ninja Kids, The — Self-aware silliness that still makes me smile. Silent Dragon — Derivative button mashing brawler from Taito, but has laugh out loud voice samples and some hilarious special moves. Snow Bros. Stone Ball — Weird prehistoric sports game that has fun graphics, but just okay gameplay.
Sunset Riders — This game is hilarious, gorgeous, and a blast with 4 players, right up there with other Konami 4 player classics like Simpsons and Ninja Turtles. Tank Force — Kind of like 4 player "Wizard of Wor" with fast tanks and okay graphics from Namco in It runs in dual-screen, so it looks best on a widescreen display or on two screens.
